Workshop 1
Are you
seeking to ensure that your laboratory is safe and secure?
Do you aim to become well-versed in the best practices for maintaining biosafety and biosecurity standards within your workplace?
If so, we
invite you to join us at the Lab Inspection Workshop, a highlight of the 2nd
Malaysian Biosafety and Biosecurity Conference.
Safety inspection or audit is a common tool for assessing
the laboratory safety management program. It is an “executive health screening”
of the respective areas. When used in conjunction with recognized standards or
guidelines, it helps identify gaps, shortfalls, and observations and benchmark
with other similar facilities. An inspection or audit outcome also allows the
institution/department to allocate resources/attention accordingly. The
complexity of an inspection or audit depends on several factors, such as
standards/guidelines to be used, scope and available resources.
Content of Workshop
This workshop is designed for laboratory professionals, safety
officers, and anyone else who is responsible for ensuring the safety and
security of their laboratory. Led by experts in the field, the Lab Inspection
Workshop will cover a range of topics, including: - The basics of laboratory safety and biosecurity •
- How to conduct effective laboratory inspections •
- Common safety and security issues in laboratories and how to address them
- Best practices for maintaining a safe and secure laboratory
This course aims
to provide participants of common laboratory inspection/ audit techniques,
knowledge of development of an internal audit checklist and documentation of
findings. You will
learn practical skills and strategies for maintaining high standards of
biosafety and biosecurity in your laboratory. You will also have the
opportunity to network with other professionals in the field and share your own
experiences and challenges.
Don't miss this chance to enhance your skills and knowledge in laboratory
safety and biosecurity. Register now for the Lab Inspection Workshop at the 2nd
Malaysian Biosafety and Biosecurity Conference. We look forward to seeing you
there!
